THE
ROUTE: NEW V2 ROUTE DETAILEDGet
the amended route(pdf)
The route has changed as we will now
be taking in more country roads. Be
assured that we will all ride together
(SAFELY) and in favour of keeping
our newest and least experienced riders
with us at all times.
We do not encourage a 'TETE du la
course' attitude by racing off on
ones own for the whole or part route
as this may offend. We
understand that at times riders will
want to 'open up their legs' on hills
- please be considerate and slow down
or wait at the top for any of the
club that may be behind.
LETS MAKE THIS A FUN CLUB RIDE AND
NOT A RACE!
CLUB KIT PLEASE!
SUPPORT
VEHICLE: (kindly driven by
Sandy Swift) - Carrying your stop
over bag (clothing etc). Spares: we
will hopefully have a pair (Shimano/Campag
rears) and a universal front in 700's
onboard. Additonally, take more bottles
to store on the van and any energy
powder/s so you can get refuelled
at the stops on route - see next paragraph.
Sandy
will be driving on to pre-defined
stop/meeting points ahead of the group
(to be marked out on both Sandys'
map and rider map). This will
ensure that we are not too far away
from support between rider/s and support
vehicle in case of any accident and
or breakdown or even tiredness and
fatigue until the ride reaches its
desination/s.
PLEASE
ENSURE you take enough tubes,
wet gear water bottles gel bars. Advisable:
tape a spare tyre under your saddle
- you never know and at times it may
be hard to get Sandy to double back
in the support vehicle.
BIKE
STORAGE AT THE B+B: Henry has
assured us that the Bikes can be stored
securely on and within the B+B premises
and for those that stay at the INN
you will have to arrange that with
the owner.
WEATHER IS NOT
AN ISSUE HERE; WE WILL BE RIDING REGARDLESS!!
AS THERE WILL BE NO REFUND DUE TO
THE CLUB BOOKING SPACE/S AT THE B+B.
